USC COLUMBIA MUG iMOVIE CONTEST RULES SPRING 2006

1. All editing must be done on a computer using Apple iMovie software. Winner is subject to submitting all iMovie project files.

2. Videos must be produced by students, staff, faculty of University of South Carolina (any campus) or Columbia Macintosh User Group Members.

3. Videos submitted must be accompanied by a Digital Video Submission Form. Failure to provide this form will result in ineligibility for the contest.

4. By submitting a digital video for contest, the contestants grant USC the right to make use of the digital video and winners’ names (but not any other personal information) in literature, ads, Gamecock Campus Television station, local media TV and radio (and their websites) and our websites at http://www.cas.sc.edu/citc and http://mac.sc.edu for publicity purposes.

5. Digital videos must be between thirty seconds and five (5) minutes long. Videos must follow USC’s Appropriate Use of Computing Policy and be approved for General Audiences(G-rating).

6. All entries must be received by April 26, 2006 in the Gambrell Computer Center along with a submission form, ATTN: Michele Dames

7. Contest winners will be announced May 3, 2006, posted at our websites http://www.cas.sc.edu/citc and http://mac.sc.edu

8. USC may substitute another prize of equal value, in event of a non-availability of a prize.

9. Odds of winning are determined by total number of eligible movies submitted.

10. All prizes will be awarded.

11. In the event that a winner voluntarily in writing chooses not to accept a prize, he/sheautomatically forfeits all claims to that prize. USC has the right, but not the obligation, to award that prize to a contest runner-up.

12. Contest rules are subject to change. All changes to contest rules will be posted at our websites http://www.cas.sc.edu/citc and http://mac.sc.edu

13. No purchase necessary.

14. Contestant personal information will not be provided to any third-party company or organization.

 

15. Movie submissions will NOT be returned.

 

16. USC and contest sponsors absolve themselves of any liability, financial orotherwise, resulting from this contest.

 

17. All regional participants are responsible for their own travel.

18. Participants are allowed to submit only TWO movies for consideration.
